Auch wenn wir über die Wintermonate unsere Boote abgebaut und verstaut haben, sitzen wir nicht tatenlos herum. Vor allem in den Winterzeit wird mehr Augenmerk auf die Konstruktion und die technische Planung gelegt. Alles was in dieser Zeit am Computer geplant und in Einzelteilen schon produziert wird, kann dann ab März wieder direkt am Boot…

During the last weeks we worked on optimizing our boat and strengthening our muscles for this year´s IWR in vienna ! Now everything is packed and well-prepared for the 11 hour car ride tomorrow. Yay. on 8th April we had the honor to present our recent activities to an audience of experienced shipbuilders. The Familie Strak Kiel, one of our sponsors, gathers alumni and active shipbuilding students every couple of months for an evening of informational presentations and some drinks. We used the time of our winter semester break to start building our new boat! We stayed two weeks at Fehmarn and focussed on building the new hulls and of course enjoying this beautiful island. -Magdalena

The fair „Das Ostufer macht mobil“ (12.07.2015) close to our university invited us to take a break from studying for exams, push the pedals a bit and tell people about our project. Many visitors were interested in our boat, the contest and, most of all, the question why one would ride a waterbike sideways… to see the opponents better!?…
